Homemaker’s Club Doesn’t Waste Time
The Homemaker’s Club of the Y.W.C.A., organized two years ago with a membership of 20, has expanded until now 60 young married women belong to the group, which meets the first and third Wednesday nights of each month. “Child Care” has been one of the extensively studied topics with Mrs. Oscar Hendricks, Family Life director, the leader. “Ceramics,” hand-made articles and lamp shades are another activity, with Mrs. T. B. Williams the leader. On Dec. 1 a nurse and physician from the South Side unit, Youngstown Hospital, will show films and discuss cancer. A Christmas exchange and party is planned for Dec. 15. All young married women are invited to attend.
